Many existing properties we look at have similar briefs, to improve the kitchen/dining connection and size where kitchens are separate small spaces akin to the age of the house.

In this instance, we extended the property to the side.  To the front, the appearance is similar, with care taken to respect the existing period features and details.  The garage doors are retained for a bike store, leaving room for a shower room and utility space behind.  To the rear, the new extension is separated visually with a glazed strip which also provides a light filled larger kitchen and dining area.
